VDC Services Showcase: Underground Casings Scan
BuildingPoint Northeast recently partnered with John W. Danforth to laser scan four 28” diameter 80’ underground casings to verify the trueness of the casing diameter. With a little on-site ingenuity, we were able to set markings in each of the casings for scanning.
After scanning each casing, we then used that data to confirm if there were any vertical and/or horizontal deflections that might prohibit the pipe routing design intent of the casings.
